Keywords & Keyword Phrases Help People Find Your Website
You want people to be able to find your site by using search engines.
To give your site the best chances, you need to optimize it for
search engines. This means setting up your site so that search engines
can place you high in their rankings. That way your site will show
up closer to the top of the list when people search for related
things. The most important component to optimizing your website
for search engines so that people can find your site on the internet
is keywords and keyword phrases. Keywords and keyword phrases are
the most important because they affect all your other search engine
optimization strategies.

Find What You're Looking For - Search Engine Tips
Using a search engine or directory can be like sifting through
a mountain of sand to find a pea. You know what you want to find,
but figuring out how to find it is the trick. These simple tips
will help you find what you're looking for.
1) "" (example: "notebook paper") - If you
only remember one of these tips, remember this one!
Quotation marks around a search phrase means that the exact phrase
must be found in the search results. This means the search will
find results that contain the exact phrase.
2) + (example: notebook +paper)
A + (plus sign) in front of a word in a search box means that the
word must be found in the search
results. This means that searches will find results that have both
the words notebook and paper in them.
3) - (example: notebook -paper)
A - (minus sign) in front of a word in a search box means that the
word must not be found in the search results. This means that this
search will find results that have notebook but do not have the
word paper.
These are common modifiers that work on most search engines, but
may not work on all. If it doesn't work on the search engine you
prefer, look for an "Advanced Search" or "Search
Tips" link and see what they do use.
